Grant Field – Head of Instruction, Short Game Specialist & AimPoint Certified Instructor
With the reputation as one of Qld’s leading Golf Instructors & Short Game Expert, Grant is a AAA rated member of the Australian PGA and holds a level 5 Coaching Diploma with the Australian Sports Council. Grant has been involved with golf now for over 20 years and as a Golf Instructor on the Sunshine Coast for over 12 years.
Philosophy – Grant’s learning and improvement philosophy is a transitional path of Education-Training-Performance. Players of all abilities follow the same transitional pathway of learning and improvement, irrespective of their skill level or experience. All players must first learn, then train those skills, to ultimately achieve their own unique level of success on the golf course.
Coaching – Grant prides himself on being able to help people of all ages and ability levels. Grant has coached a number of juniors and seniors to state and national team representation, including 2011 & 2012 Australian Stroke Play champion and 2011 Australian Junior Champion. He coaches a number of trainee and tour professionals and has 2 players inside the top 10 on this year’s ALPG Tour money list.
Grant is a co-coach and short game specialist for the Sunshine Coast and South Burnett junior talent squad which 4 of the 6 students are current students of GFG. He is a member of the Golf Queensland Coaching Panel and is the current Queensland Boys Team Coach as well as the coach to the Queensland Junior Development team. Grant has just completed his AimPoint Green reading certification in which he is the 2nd golf professional in Australia to be certified.
Education – Always continually seeking new ways to improve & further develop his teaching acumen, Grant regularly attends seminars such as the Srixion Coaching Series and Srixion Coaching Summits. Grant is also a member of the exclusive “Golf Bohemians”, a group of Golf Advisory Professionals that was established by the late Ramsay McMaster. Grant’s continual quest for knowledge has led to attending the prestigious Dave Pelz Short Game School in Georgia, U.S.A.
