The new 2012 Junior Program has started!
During the school term, sessions run from Tuesday to Friday from 4 – 5pm and Saturday mornings at 9am.
Kids from the age of 4 are all welcome, all equipment will be provided!

Junior Program Information
TWGA has a great Junior Academy training program for kids aged from 4-16. This is a great program to get your kids into golf and covers everything that they will need from the basics, right through to course management and etiquette. The TWGA junior program focuses not only on golf specific training, it also covers general sports fitness, agility and strength. This is a great program for any kid wishing to get into golf and the TWGA junior program provides a cost effective solution for parents.
Sessions will incorporate 2 parts – Fundamental Movement Skills and Golf Specific Movement. The emphasis at the beginning is on general fitness and athleticism through games and activities that will develop the basic movement patterns
The FMS category includes –
1. Locomotive Skills: Running, Jumping, Dodging, Skipping, Hoping, Bounding, Sprinting
2. Stability Skills (ABC’s of Athleticism): Agility, Balance, Coordination, Speed, Change of Direction
3. Manipulative / Object Control Skills: Throw, Kick, Strike, Catch, Dribble
4. Awareness: Space Awareness, Kinesthetic Awareness, Body Awareness, Rules
Information about sessions
- Sessions are conducted by qualified professionals who will provide boys and girls with basics skills, instructional games and challenges
- All Equipment will be provided if children do not have their own
- Sessions run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon between 4.00pm – 5.00pm
- Saturday morning sessions are also available at 9.00am
- Session run through school terms
- Class sizes will be max 8 students per class
- During school holidays there will be school holiday camps held (see TWGA for details and bookings for these camps)
- Cost $140 per term and payment is made at start of term (10 week term)
